We are very excited to share with you our first online course. This is a four module course on Nutrition Fundamentals. The course is extensive and also covers the basics. It is approaching nutrition and an optimal health focused lifestyle using the adaptable, attainable Taproot approach. Wherever you are on the continuum of health, there are jewels of information to be discovered in this course. Here are the basics for each module:
All modules are now available, and can be taken at your own pace. We recommend, however, taking one module per week and allowing ample time to introduce and experience the recommended practices into your lifestyle.
MODULE 1: CORE CONCEPTS
Nutrition core concepts include macro and micronutrients, antioxidants & phytochemicals. We also talk about avoiding dietary health detractors and using more health enhancers.
MODULE 2: BALANCED NUTRITION
Learn how to define lean protein, clean fats & health promoting colorful carbohydrates. Our bodies need it all and from a variety of sources.
MODULE 3: METABOLIC BALANCE
Avoiding inflammatory and allergenic foods is all a part of metabolic balance and weight management. You’ll come away understanding how to make better choices and take your metabolism more into your control.
MODULE 4: SUSTAINABILITY
It’s all about sustainability. In class four we discuss living in a sustainable way in our relationships, our professions and our diet and lifestyle choices. We approach sustainability through the lens of personal, community and the planet.
