Basil – Basil contains flavonoids and is antibacterial and anthelmintic. It relaxes the smooth muscle of the intestine.
Walnuts – Walnuts are rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E, magnesium and omega 3’s.
Garlic – Garlic provides protection against atherosclerosis and heart disease.It has blood pressure lowering abilities and helps lower total cholesterol.
- 2 c. basil leaves, packed
- ½ c. walnuts or pumpkin seeds
6 cloves fermented garlic* or 4 regular cloves
- ½ c. olive oil
- 4 Tb. lemon juice
With food processor running, drop in garlic.
Stop and add basil and walnuts. Pulse until well chopped and pulse until smooth.
Add olive oil and lemon juice and pulse until well combined.
Pulse until smooth, adding more olive oil if needed.
